Meet L.A. Kendrix

L.A. Kendrix is the founder of Crown Our Future Media and the author behind the Crown Our Future book series. She is a certified Christian life coach, a civil servant with over 20 years of experience, and a grandmother who believes that the stories we tell our children shape the futures they create.

L.A. has lived in 10 states and 3 countries, including managing operations across 14 European countries while based in Germany. She has built programs from the ground up, led teams that have supported over 600 personnel, and dedicated her career to helping people discover their purpose and reach their potential. But her most important work began when she became a grandmother to Sy and KD.

Watching her grandsons grow in a world where their history was being erased, L.A. made a decision. She would write the books she wished had existed when she was a child. She would bring forward the names that schools left out. She would make sure her grandsons, and every child who picks up one of her books, knows that they come from a lineage of brilliance.

"Color Our Truth, Crown Our Future: Inventors & Scientists Edition" became an Amazon number one new release in children's biographies within two weeks of publishing. But for L.A., success is not measured in rankings. It is measured in the moment a child colors the face of a forgotten hero and asks, "Who is this?" It is measured in the parent who learns alongside their child and says, "I never knew." It is measured in the shift that happens when a generation grows up seeing Black excellence first.

L.A. Kendrix honors the two young boys who inspired this work through her pen name. She lives with her husband Christopher and continues to expand the Crown Our Future series with upcoming titles that celebrate athletes, artists, entrepreneurs, and change makers whose stories deserve to be told.
